Business Technology Engineers
Melbourne-based, Australian-owned. We design, build and manage technology for the countries fast growing SME's.
Technology that works for your business.
Too many businesses are sold technology they don't need, on platforms that don't fit, by providers who disappear after launch. We start with how your business actually operates, recommend the simplest thing that solves the problem, build it on platforms you can trust and stay to keep it working.
Four rules we don't break
The same four rules on every engagement. They are how we keep the work honest.
Start with the problem
We don't lead with platforms or frameworks. We listen to what's not working, then recommend the simplest path to fix it.
Build what fits
WordPress when WordPress makes sense. Rust when performance matters. The right tool for the job, every time.
You own what we build
No vendor lock-in, no proprietary traps. Your code, your data, your infrastructure — always.
Stay for the long run
We don't build and walk away. Ongoing support, managed services, and a team that knows your systems inside out.
The people you'll actually work with
No handoffs, no account managers. The two people on this page scope the work, do the work and answer the phone afterwards.
Kal Jeram
Design & Apps DirectorKal leads design and app development. His approach is methodical and problem-first: understand the brief, interrogate the audience, then design toward outcomes rather than aesthetics. These days that mostly means building native iOS and Android apps and Svelte web applications, where good design and solid engineering have to work together. He takes products from first sketch to app store release.
Jay Calder
System Administration and Security DirectorJay leads infrastructure and security development. Originally from Coffs Harbour and now Melbourne-based, he maintains the infrastructure that our clients depend on. Our acting CISO, specialising in security, WAF design and automated detection. Jay has been an active developer of our edge network including architecting business applications to be fast, safe and reliable. He is currently working towards ISO27001 certification for 2027.
